Conall O’Donnell – Director, Steelfixing Operations

Conall is a seasoned construction professional and key leader at Westkon Civil, bringing decades of hands-on experience in commercial and infrastructure works across Australia and New Zealand.

He has delivered critical roles on major projects such as the Gorgon Gas Project, Toowoomba Bypass, Melbourne’s WestConnex, and Transmission Gully in New Zealand. Known for his calm leadership and sharp technical skill, Conall ensures consistent delivery under high-pressure site conditions.

At Westkon Civil, Conall leads the steelfixing division, managing day-to-day operations on site. His focus on safety, quality, and productivity ensures projects run smoothly and meet the highest industry standards.

James William Doherty – Director, Field Operations

James brings broad expertise across the commercial, infrastructure, and mining sectors to his role at Westkon Civil. Originally from Ireland, he began his career as a qualified carpenter before moving to Australia in 2012, where he quickly established himself as a highly capable site leader.

Having worked closely with Conall on projects like the Gorgon Gas Project, WestConnex, and Transmission Gully, James has developed deep, practical skills in formwork, steelfixing, and concreting.

He is known for leading high-performing crews and delivering strong project outcomes.At Westkon Civil, James oversees field operations across multiple sites. His commitment to safe, efficient work and strong client relationships drives consistent results across all scopes.

Gerry O’Keeffe– Director, Business & Strategy

Gerry brings a wealth of industry knowledge to Westkon Civil, with experience spanning residential, commercial, civil, and major infrastructure sectors. Since moving to Australia in 2006, he has progressed from trade-based roles into senior management, delivering value at every level of construction.

His project experience includes the Gorgon Gas Project, Boddington Gold Mine, NorthLink WA (Stages 1–3), Tonkin Gap Rail Dive structures, and Sydney’s WestConnex. With a deep understanding of both site operations and commercial management, Gerry bridges the gap between field execution and strategic growth.

At Westkon, Conall leads the company’s Steelfixing division, where he is based full-time on site. In this role, he is a driving force behind project delivery, overseeing critical aspects such as site safety, production efficiency, and quality assurance.
